Depending on the tour and where the shows fall on the calendar, I'm in too. Had a blast on our last "Lap of the Lake" tour in 2004. Detroit and Cleveland in one weekend was a blast!

I live in Montreal but would make the trip, just to travel with fanatics like me.

Perhaps there will an outdoor show somewhere along the way. That would be too cool.

Look forward hearing more about the tour and this great idea!

What jobs do you guys have? How can you take that time off to see the Hip whenever you want? :?

Day jobs. That's why I suggested that my decision depends on the schedule of the tour. I think I can speak for most of us here when I say that the chances of us going to a US show depends on what shows fall on the weekend thus not having to take work off at all (for us M-F, 9-5ers anyway).

In '04, I went to Detroit and Cleveland because they were back-to-back on a Saturday/Sunday night. It was a long drive back for work Monday morning but it was well worth it!

Ok, cool. That's what I was thinking for the weekend shows but it seems like most of you have plans for 4 or 5 or more US shows.

Trev... aren't you a 9 to 4:15'er?

I'd love to go to a string of US shows, and if the timing is right, and the funds are there, I'd take a few days off work and do it. (I have a wedding in Scotland to attend, so that's taking priority in my trip savings plan...)

As Trev mentioned, the Detroit/Cleveland shows last year were back-to-back weekend nights so we could do it without missing any work.

I'm a 6:30-3er but I think I'd use some holidays for a multiple date trip, in 04 I just went to 1 show in Pittsburgh and it was a Sunday night so I took Monday off, when the new tour is announced I'll definitely do some weekend runs and I keep getting asked to head on down to Texas so I'll probably do that too, maybe go to eruope for a couple weeks too, I'll see when all the dates are finalized

 That's actually 8-4:15'er there mister know it all....

And Scotland - wow, wouldn't it be cool if the Hip were playing in Ireland/Netherlands/Amsterdam around the same time as that wedding? Woah Baby! Now were talking sheer marital bliss

My mistake on the hours... but since we're on the subject, don't forget about the 1 hour lunch break...

And if The Hip are in Europe while we are, screw your bachelor party in Dublin; it's bachelor party with The Hip!
