Thats my favorite part of Heksenketel, I always lmao when that part comes up, and I rewind it 3 or 4 times. They sure had fun on that bus, tons of beer cans everywhere..aah the rock and roll lifestyle, if only I could start my life over. :thumb:

28 shows since October of 1998. Not a bad run. Have been backstage about 12 times. Lots of stories but no time right now to get into em.

I wondered if that was Billy Ray. He came off as being a dumbass on that video.
yop that was him :thumb:

Wow you guys with 40 shows, that's awesome.
I'm a Hip rookie, with only 1 show under my belt. It was really awesome, I think 4th row floor or something. I kinda wish I was born about 15 years earlier, so I could have seen some vintage Hip live.
I am definitely going to see them again once or twice this year.

another random story is from the 1999 saint john, i remember being in the cab from the park plaza motel goin to harbour station realizing i forgot my binoculars in the room!! argh

I saw 3 last year, I felt like I was back on Dead tour..driving all over the place. Being down in the South East - I am proud that I can count to 7 Hip Shows..However, I have never seen them with more than 500 in attendence. I have Gord sweat!! and some incredible pictures taken from 8 feet away..

The funny thing is, there is nothing better than seeing the hip with 1000 people and there is nothing better than seeing them with 20,000. I guess just seeing them is great, looking forward to the next tour.

My first show was in 1995 Hamilton, its still one of my fondest memories ever. I dug up this thread I started awhile back, if any of the newer members would like to add to it that would be great, if not it still makes for nice reading, the thread was "First Hip Show"...

I really can't wait for tour..
I love seeing all the hockey jerseys from all over the place,
The hearing all the different accents (big down here)
High-Fiving the complete stranger next to you cause "It's BOOTS!!"
Seeing when Gord starts to sweat,
The first rant, Noticing how Rob DOESN'T sweat..(how does he stay so cool) Gordos hair getting bigger and bigger every song..
Wondering if the Egg shaker is going to make an appearance this year..
The end of the night - only knowing that going to the next show the next day is gonna bring it all again..
