My Tragically Hip poster

remember when they did these a couple of years ago? You could put saying on them and whatnot. Anyway I asked if they would make this picture into a poster and they did. I just found it wanted to post it.

Nice photo and poster. I've seen that picture on a cd single. I think it was live Poets.

Most print shops can take a high resolution image and make it into a poster. I'd like to do it with a couple of my own pictures. It always costs $$ though Sad

Back around 2001 The Hip tried to do a neat marketing thing.
They put up an image gallery with tons of stuff in it - you could take these images and do "whatever" you wanted to them - design them online then have The Hip's company print them out for you.
For example - the picture above that Ballgame picked out - he paid to have it blown up to poster size and The Hip would mail it to you.
I believe that you could also have pictures framed - and professionally framed - art canvas pulled against a nice backing frame - etc...
You could also just play around on their site and add text to a bunch of photos - and then also you could order different sizes of these and they would mail them to you.
Here are some examples people made - but not that they necessarily ordered:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://web.archive.org/web/20010420092809/thehip.digital-image-gallery.com/samples/samples.asp">http://web.archive.org/web/200104200928 ... amples.asp</a><!-- m -->

And this is just a great picture, a poster I would love to have

Tthip- I ordered one of those posters from them back then. I just found it last summer and I love it, but the thing is just wonderful quality. It was one of the first things I ever bought online and I was very happy with it.

They did the same thing with t-shirts. I ordered two shirts, one with artwork from DFN for my then-girlfriend and one with the Live Between Us artwork for myself. I think it would be a great idea if they could start this up again! Smile

I bought the same picture as the first poster, but on canvas. When it arrived, I had it professionally framed.

that might be too blurry to enlarge. But I bet its the only one of Sinclair. I think he gets left out a lot

Really, I thought it was Johnny that got left out a lot. By left out do you mean, not having lots of pictures? Or recognition?
