i always have found it strange that the jets use giant stadium, i know they call it the meadowlands when they play. you figure they would like to reap the benefits of their own stadiums. I can see that that the cost would prohibit that when its close to a billion dollars

i'll bet you anything it will be better than olympic stadium in montreal, which also cost over $1 billion after all was said and done. :thumb:

I cant wait to see this beast, it should be pretty awesome for that much cash. I think they should keep it an open-air stadium, I like natural grass better than some type of artificial turf, and I love football in the snow. Dont be wimps NY, keep it open!

Meh, people seem to be forgetting that the stadium formerly known as Skydome cost us (i.e. Ontario taxpayers) $600 million (USD) way back in '89...17 years later, that pretty much equates to a cool billion...

skydome i dont believe is really any better, sightlines from many events other than baseball blow.

Even certain sightlines for baseball blow huge. Certain areas of the 100 level in the outfield are atrocious.

i know for football that the endzones are really bad, you cant see half of the endzone. Nothing like trying to watch a touchdown pass and having to wait for the reaction of the sideline crowd to know what happens.
