The article states that Gord performed 3 songs... I wonder if they're included on the ideaCity DVD that you can purchase here for $49.95 + GST?

If anyone wants to contribute, let me know.

The following excerpt is from the article: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.digitaljournal.com/news/?articleID=4281">http://www.digitaljournal.com/news/?articleID=4281</a><!-- m -->

The award for “most energetic applause” went to Gord Downie, frontman for legendary rock band The Tragically Hip. When he took the stage, attendees hollered and clapped vigorously, and Downie didn’t disappoint. While he didn’t focus so much on the arts, he spoke widely about Canada. Three songs later, Downie even imparted some personal wishes for his home and native land: “Canada must get its head out of its ass,” he said. “And it has to get its head out of America’s ass too. Its gotta distinguish itself.”

Could these words possibly be formed into a mid-song rant? maybe on the next tour we can hear these words in melodious rendition during NOIS as it is along the same lines as "Hey north you're south shut your big mouth, You gotta do what you feel is real"
