I'm an uncle!!
#1

I know this news isn't quite the same as all those of you who have recently had children of your own, but I'm still pretty excited about it, so I thought I'd share it with you.

I am now officially an uncle, for the first time! Last night, just past 7:30 pm, my sister gave birth to a healthy baby girl. The baby's full name is Leah Evelyn German, and she weighed in at 7 lbs, 1.5 oz. Needless to say, all of us in my family are excited, especially since, for both sets of grandparents, this is the first grandchild... so this is definitely big news!

Hopefully soon I'll get the OK to share a picture of her so you can see how cute she is!

I know I'll be an uncle before I'm a father so I know the level of excitement. Congrats!!

Here are a couple of pictures... one is a pic of her at the hospital, the other is her being held lovingly by her Uncle J! I'm sure you'll all agree that she is a real sweetie! :thumb:

Actually, when that pic was taken, I was more like "Oh crap, I haven't held a baby in a long time, I hope I don't drop her!" That's why it kind of looks like such a nervous smile.
