..plus a million other things!

Well said...and I'll also second the Al Strachan nomination...what an ass, why is he on TV?

And speaking of guys who shouldn't be on TV...I can't stand Nick Kypreos...Sportsnet can't find an ex-player to commentate other than him?

When the girl at Subway forgets to give you your stamps, and you have to stand there like a pissy NYC bellhop waiting for a tip.

Hey, call me petty, but I paid twelve bucks for $1.25 worth of chicken and 90 cents worth of bread... I want the damn stamps.

They've ceased stamp distribution in the Battlefords too. It really licks for me. The girl at the Subway here wanted on the Douglas Express so she always gave me about 8 at a time. Or maybe she felt bad for the pud who comes to Subway 4 times a week. Whatever, it got me free subs.

When you go to Tim Hortons and forget they don't take Interact
bad luck
BTW, When People say teaching is an easy job I always reply with "Yeah it's great I just lounge around all summer and it should be 3 months off!" They can never realize how hard teachers work and that they teach, prep, and take courses in the summer.

That must be an Ontario thing. When I lived in Ottawa I was constantly annoyed that Timmy's didn't take Interac. So imagine my joy when I came back to Calgary to discover that ALL the Tim stores here accept debit. It's beautiful!

Yeah, because the rest of us who work jobs that don't include 26 weeks of vacation totally slack off all the time so it's like not really working at all.

I've logged about 60 hours this week at the office, and I have to work this weekend to meet two deadlines next week. And teachers want to whine about how "hard" they work? Please.

Teachers get no sympathy from me. Particularly when the vast majority of the ones I know became teachers because they couldn't think of anything else to do with their lives. The ones that are great at their job and love doing it I have no problem with. Sadly, those ones are few and far between. [/end rant]

Bit of a sweeping generalization don't ya think? But I understand your point. But we can't forget what a benefit we derive from teachers, even when they bitch. It's certainly more than the beneift we derive from what I, and a lot of well paid people I know, do.

Even if they fell ass-backwards into the job, the ends, benefits and poor pay and low respect give them the grace to take the summer off in my opinion... which isn't even the case in alot of places anymore.

I think what they do has to be measured differently than your hours at the office. You're both working hard, and I'm sure neither gig is easy.

People who use debit/credit for EVERYTHING.

CASH people, it's faster. I don't give a flaming crap if you don't like change.

Here, here. I've used my debit card three times in my entire life, all during the same shopping spree three years ago.

As for no debit at Tim Horton's, I think it's good for business and PR. They claim they give all their "keep the change" money to their foundations and camps. In 2003, that money was over $60,000 at a single Tim Horton's in Kanata, so imagine the benefits if the whole chain operated that way. But for convienince sake, I think they'll all be debit friendly soon enough.
