Wow. What an amazing system! I wasn't at the show last night but I'm downloading the show anyway. Half-decent bit rate too (192 kps).

Man, why don't more bands do this?!?

It is a pretty cool system! Bought the Gorge show as soon as it came out and there were a whole bunch of "technical" errors with the downloads. It looks like they have worked out the bugs now but I didn't get a "complete" version of the show until this morning (4 days later).

The guys at basecamp were great about it and helped me out significantly, I guess because they knew the software was having these problems and it wasn't the fans fault.

Nonetheless, The sound is decent and I am enjoying the setlist!

But I totally agree, more bands should be doing this, period!

Just downloaded the Calgary show this morning with no problems at all. Sounds great too. Not as good as actually being there last night of course, but still damn good.

Do PJ endorse the trading of these shows? Just interested to know. I know they did for shows no longer available in stores etc. We wouldn't trade Hip shows from Live Downloads, is PJ different?

from the bootleg faq on pearljam.com

"Also, unlike the majority of download services, we have not encoded these files with any kind of DRM (Digital Rights Management). This means that there are no restrictions on your ability to burn them to disc, transfer them to your portable music player, or listen to them from your hard drive."

On the Pearl Jam Forums they are asking everyone NOT to trade the bootlegs UNTIL they are finished selling them through the site. However no timeframe was given as to when they will stop selling them.

That sounds fair, if anyone wants to trade for the van show when the bootlegs are no longer for sale PM me.
