It is the Festival of Beer this weekend as well in T.O. That is a great event if you are looking for something to do. It is at Fort York

I was able to take both in and let me tell you, despite the fact I'm moving to Thunder Bay in four weeks, and despite the fact that I have to return for two seperate weddings on two seperate weekends next summer, I am never missing the Toronto Festival of Beer again.
Greatest. Event. EVER.
Easilly the best sixty dollars I spent in a long time.

I just got home from the Beer Festival and it was awesome. The Practically Hip performed mid-afternoon and they were awesome. Many of the more intoxicated patrons were heard to exclaim. "I can't believe that the fuckin' Tragically Hip are here!!!!"
The lead singer has got his Gordism's down perfect, and they played a solid set of classic Hip tracks.
The day was closed with an inspired set by The Mahones filled with punk classics and Mahones party favourites.
I didn't make it to The Taste, but today at the Beer Fest more than made up for it.
As Pat said, "Greatest. Event. Ever."

I went to the Beer festival in TO last summer, had a blast
Truths and Rights played, former Big Sugar members
It was a blast going from beer tent to beer tent trying out all the different beer and getting drunk in the process

I was there saturday, it was a perfect day. I ran into an old roomate from school who had a bunch of VIP tickets, which was great because you got two free full beers and a nice meal which was a savior half way through the afternoon.

I wish I could have been there. I hear that the Scotch Irish booth was the big hit again. Good for them, I enjoy their beer.
