Any one watch it?
I said all along that I wouldn't, I mean replacing Michael Hutchence would be like the Hip replacing Gord. he was one of the great front men.
Oh well, I ended up watching and it was surprisingly good, the people could sing, much better than any Idol contestant. I still don't think you can replace Hutchence, but I didn't find it un bearable. 4 canadians are among the contestants so that is cool, one almost got the boot though.

I was a big INXS fan in high school. When I heard about this show I thought what is the point. A new singer to sing all of their old hits? As I understand it, thy will have a new record with whoever wins. I thought the show was good, I like the fact that the songs are pre selected. That chick with the corn rows who went first is my front runner.

I checked it out while channel surfing and ther were some pretty good singers ans some pretty good "personalities" as well. Unfortunaltely, there were also a few I couldn't believe actually made it to the broadcast.

Let's hope there's not a Hung among'em. (William, that is.)

I'm kind of dismayed that Tara Slone of Joydrop fame entered. While she is awesome (even though sometimes wanna die was grossly overplayed), I thought she'd always be awesome on her own terms.

I'm trippin'; Iwas certain I recognized her from somewhere but just blew it off. Joydrop never entered my mind... d'oh!

It's too bad to see Tara go...I'm really good friends with her cousin and I have to say that I was pulling for her the whole way, but...I think it was her time to go.

Even though she is extremely talented, it was quite evident that INXS was not the best fit for her. My bet is you'll see her resurface somewhere soon. There are still some crappy performers left in there...but damn there sure are some great ones!!

I can't believe how much better this show is than American or dare I even mention it...Canadian Idol. Too bad it's receiving such crappy ratings.
