For any fellow hipbasers that would like to get in on some fantasy football action for the upcoming NFL season, I have created a custom league.

Yahoo Fantasy Football is definitely the best and most popular fantasy football program going today.

It is free of cost and there is a 12 team max. I think there will be about 4-6 open slots come draft day.

There will be a live online draft Sunday July 17 at 9:00 p.m. If you cannot be online at that time, pre-rank players and the computer will auto-pick for you.

It is a lot of fun and very user friendly.

The league name is Buffalo Fantasy NFL Football. You will see Phantom Power (my team) in the league already.

HOW TO JOIN:

1. Go to <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.yahoo.com">www.yahoo.com</a><!-- w -->, click Sports and then click Fantasy in the upper right corner of the page. 2. Under other games, click Fantasy Football, then go to FREE Fantasy Football, Join a League.

3. Register for a yahoo account if you do not already have one and sign in. It is free and only takes a minute. Many of you yahoo game addicts probably already have an account.

4. Click Join a Custom League.

5. Create a team name, pick a logo, and you are good to go!

Hopefully a few of you Fantasy Sports fans will join. This gives me a reason to follow some teams other than the Bills this year! See you at the live draft if you can make it. Sunday 7/17/05 9:00 pm. Log in about 5-10 minutes early if possible.

Just log back into fantasy sports, click on your team name and you will see the draft info from there.

hmmm...I don't know why that would be, a couple of friends just joined without a problem

Oh I think you tried to go under the Fantasy Football PLUS. That is the one you have to pay for.

I sent an email to the address listed in the Hipbase memberlist. The link should get you right in without a password or anything.

If not, do exactly what you did before, just join under the "FREE" fantasy football.

That should help.

I may not be in last, but I'm disappointed with my fantasy baseball team so I changed my name for the football league in hopes of better luck.
