BEWARE - Do not purchase this TV.
I purchased it from Best Buy back in February - 4 months later its DEAD. Best Buy wont take it back and Phillips wont help me so now Im faced with an $95.00 repair bill for a 4 month old TV!
I checked out Amazon.com and discovered (30) 1-star consumer reveiws for this model - they all die after 3-4 months of service.
Just thought I would give you "heads up" in case any of you were planning on buying a Phillips TV.

That sucks! I cant believe the manufacturer wont even help you? How long was the manufacturers warranty for? And not to rub salt in your wound but the first mistake you made was buying a Phillips TV, garbage.

If you buy a new tv again, don't buy an analog one, make sure it is digital.

That warranty stinks, and your definitely not the only one, its all over the net. People should be bombarding this company with calls and letters demanding a recall or money-back, thats outrageous! I would get hold of the company and talk to someone with some actual pull and tear his ear off, and demand satisfaction. If for nothing but to release some tension
I hate hearing about these kinds of problems and companies turning their backs on the consumer, makes me raging mad. But you'd be surprised what a little "sweet talking" as I like to call it, on the phone will get you. Ive had parking tickets reversed, I got out of a 2-year cell phone contract with no penalties and got 2 months free at my gym because they hid a promotion from me when I signed up, all as a result of my "sweet talk" hee hee

Finally!!!!
After countless hours arguing with Phillips - I finally got my television fixed this past weekend. My only cost was the $10.00 tip I gave the repairman.
I guess persistance does pay. :thumb:
