September 3, 2005 Moncton Magnetic Hill The Tragically Hip, Maroon 5
Among the bands scheduled to share the stage (this tour) with the Stones are Black Eyed Peas, Maroon 5, The Tragically Hip, Pearl Jam, and John Mayer Trio. Keep your eyes on the site for the further announcement of opening acts.

Holy crap! The Hip and Pearl Jam at the same show?? Now that's what I call multiple EARgasms! Forget the Stones, Maroon 5, John Mayer (yuck), and the Black Eyed Peas. I'd go just to see the magnificent one-two punch of Das Hips and PJ. You folks in Moncton are unbelievably lucky. Enjoy the show, you bastards.

As far as I can read, all those bands aren't playing the same venue.

Pearl Jam will certainly not be at the Moncton show. The Stones play magnetic hill in moncton on the 3rd, the 2nd pearl jam is in vancouver and the 4th they are in calgary, it just doesnt seem to make sense.
it doesnt seem like a feasible course to take to fly across the country for one show to return to the other side of the country for a show the day after

I don't dislike Maroon 5, per se, but it kind of bothers me that they'll be in Moncton opening for the Hip/Stones double whammy (or Heaven forbid, have the Hip opening for the Maroon 5/Stones 'conflict of taste')... besides, I thought some French band 'Les... something' was opening for the Stones in Ottawa, and Moncton... they aren't listed on the website... hopefully that Hip rumour is true...
I'll drag along 'pops' and make him pay for the tickets... $60 (-$300) is a bit rich for my blood; I had my fill of the Stones at Sars-stock... don't remember much though... anyone else suffer morbid dehydration at Sars-stock? Better yet, anybody elses car break down in Gananoque, ON, forcing yourself and a reluctant friend to hitch-hike in a minivan with senile old ladies who referred to themselves as the 'Golden Girls' while their miniature schnauzer shit all over your pants... hmmm... maybe seeing the Stones with a clean pair of trousers will have it's benefits...

Maroon five sucks. They don't even deserve to be on the same stage as the hip.
