It would be great, but something about Moncton just doesn't make sense.

why not? if they can get 65,000 into the magnetic hill venue, it would work.

there was an ariticle on cbc.ca a couple months ago saying that a couple local (read: atlantic canada & toronto) based promoters were working very hard to get them

I pretty sure they are all pushing 60 at least aren't they? I tried looking on the net but found this instead: 10 Reasons to hate the Stones..

Personally I dont hate the Stones, if they want to keep playing and people keep buying the tickets, all the power to them. 10 years ago I would have considered paying the usual $100+ to see them, but now...I dont think so.

**Skippy, dont click on that link he bashes Dylan**

You were warned!!

Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

Yeah there also isn't any Montreal or TO. And what's up with Fenway Park?! I didn't think they held concerts at Fenway.

Those are just the rumoured dates; when more come up, IORR will add 'em. As for Fenway Park, it didn't do concerts until two years ago when Springsteen played back-to-back nights there; last summer Jimmy Buffett played Fenway, and there's usually a rumour or two flying around that Pearl Jam is about to do it as well (although I'm sure having Eddie Vedder announce "We'll see you next summer at Fenway!" at the band's most recent Boston show isn't helping matters...).

I've seen the stones a few times and they are great live, can't take that away from them.

The scvcop is that that Stones are planning a "ballpark" tour, trying to play at venues they haven't before. But at the same time, it sounds like they are going to be doing the small medium large venues in larger cities per the Licks Tour

As far as rumors go, yes there are a few that are just rumors, but some are confirmed. from all the reading I have done, Moncton is a done deal. There is no T.O. or Montreal dates yet, but this is only a starting list. I am sure T.O. wll be their home this summer once again for rehersals. I would guess at least 3 shows will be announced shortly.

May 3rd is supposively the whole hoopla announcement, but most of the above dates are pretty much confirmed.

You thought so? Maybe they can turn it 'on' and 'off'.

I saw them twice. The first time was THE single most disappointed I've EVER been by a premier rock concert. Everyone on stage, except for Jagger, was *awful* (Mick busted his ass the whole show, and was impressive). But Keith would play for awhile, then drift back to the rear of the stage and smoke cigarettes. The sound was awful - though the open-air stadium was partially to blame, many times I could not discern what song was being played until Mick started singing, and alot of that was Richard's laziness and Wood's apparent apathy....

So I saw them a second time on the same tour (Steel Wheels) in an enclosed arena, hoping that I had just seen them on an off night the first time. It was equally as poor.

I've been a longtime fan of about 30% of their catalogue - what I like, I really like....but I lost a ton of respect for them as a result of those horrible performances. They were easily the worst concerts I've seen from any of the classic rock heavyweights.....

I think it depends were your seats are, I saw the Voodoo Lounge tour from 15th row floors and it was amazing Stone Temple Pilots opened, I saw them again at Skydome from way back and you are right the sound sucked but the show was still good. Mick is the centre of attention and the rest of the guys know that. So I guess they can slack, they are in there 60's remember.
