I emailed the hip club today asking what they were up to and what about a DVD...here is the answer I got, I dont know if you were aware about the show shot at the ACC.... can't wait!! :lol:

Yeah, it's borderline disgraceful that it won't be out until the fall. I love the Hip and all but they are pretty slack when it comes to releases. This will be their first DVD release and it'll take almost a year??? That's not really acceptable but what can you do???

ddd444 is right, lets all take a deep breath lol. I hate waiting as much as anyone, Im really impatient, but like ddd..said it will be worth the wait! Its the "other activities" that got me frothing at the mouth the most though. Come on ddd444, dont tease me like this man, you know how its messes up my life, its driving me to the bottle like never before.

Was it just me, or did the live shots during the Juno induction look as though they were filmed at the ACC. I could have sworn I saw some Leaf banners hanging in the rafters during certain shots...I think we saw a little sneak peek if you ask me. Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I'm too lazy to check.

*edit* OK I did a little more digging in some other posts and I see that I am not the only astute one in the bunch who caught the ACC footage I humbly offer up my head on the tool point platter and await your decision.

I think that a fall release of a DVD makes sense. People aren't as inclined to sit in front of their TV watching DVDs when the sun is shining. Throw into that mix back-to-school, Christmas, Daylight savings, etc, etc, and releasing it in the fall gives them the best shot at significant sales. Despite what some of us might think, music is a business, and corporations exist with only one legal purpose - to make money.

And with the way that ddd444 is teasing us, it sounds like The Hip & Co. will keep us satisfied until then. Thanks for the info! I think with all the confusion surrounding The Hip Club in the past two years all we ask is that we're kept posted.
