I wish Pearl Jam would follow the Hip and come to Winnipeg to perform for once. They always bypass this city and it sucks big time. At this rate I will never see the band perform live.

They never come to Calgary either but that won't stop me from seeing them again. Road trip to Vancouver was a legendary one last time they toured and I'm sure there's another great road trip in store for their next tour. They put on an amazing live show, highly worth the effort to get out and see it.

Can't wait for the new album either.

There is a bootleg out there I think from the early 90s (93 or 94) of a show they played in the Peg. Its an amazing video. The band had so much energy during the show.

If you can get your hands on it its well worth it.

Was this an outside concert? If so, I am pretty sure you are thinking of when they played Sunfest which was in Gimli (outside of Winnipeg). I wasn't able to make it out to that show and I have been kicking myself ever since. So that is why they have to come play the new MTS Centre. If not, then they better play Vancouver and I can go see them with my brother. That would rock.

They played Calgary way back in '93, but since then their Canadian tours have only included stops in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. I'd say they're long overdue for a full on cross-Canada tour. If U2, Springsteen, and Metallica can play here, so can Pearl Jam. I've always wondered why they've never done a full Canadian tour. They have a lot of fans up here. It's not like they wouldn't sell any tickets.

I find it odd that they're now calling for a tour in 2006....I read an interview with Matt Cameron in Rolling Stone stating that they hope to have the album out by the end of May and tour this summer?

That's great news! If they're serious, I'm guessing they'll probably do the standard cross-Canada tour that every other band does, which almost always includes Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Toronto, and Montreal. For those living in Saskatchewan, it's an easy road trip to either Calgary or Winnipeg. Everybody's happy! (well, except those who live on the east coast where bands rarely make the trip, which is sad)
