I was born in January 1974.
I remember things from 1975 at least.
Everytime I think about it, I find it hard to comprehend how I remember things from such a young age.

Born in 1980, the 80's to me were:
Terrible Leaf Teams
Hulk Hogan
Batman
Michael Jackson (I had the glove and the moves DOWN for a six year old... my parents LOVE showing that video when new freinds are introduced.)
Playing Road Hockey like it was the antidote.
Figure Skating Lessons (uh huh... yuk it up) that would end with a free skate to that "Maniac" song...

i too had the pedophile glove and even took it a step further with the red zipper jacket....i looked so good doing the moonwalk, all geared up....it is probably for this reason and this reason alone why i absolutely loathe the 80`s

I'll admit, I had a big crush on the pedofile. Hell, he was good looking back then. Then again, I look back on some of the guys I had crushes on when I was young and go WTF?! I'm surprised I didn't wear out my mother's copy of thriller.
Got this in my Yahoo Group email. Thought it would be a good addition to this thread.

Just in case you weren't feeling too old today, this will certainly change
things:
The people who are starting college this fall across the nation were born
in
1985.
They are too young to remember the space shuttle blowing up.
Their lifetime has always included AIDS.
Bottle caps have always been screw off and plastic.
The CD was introduced the year they were born.
They have always had an answering machine.
They have always had cable.
They cannot fathom not having a remote control.
Jay Leno has always been on the Tonight Show.
Popcorn has always been cooked in the microwave.
They never took a swim and thought about Jaws.
They can't imagine what hard contact lenses are.
They don't know who Mork was or where he was from.
They never heard: "Where's the Beef?", "I'd walk a mile for a Camel", or
"de
plane Boss, de plane".
They do not care who shot J. R.! and have no idea who J. R. even is.
McDonald's never came in Styrofoam containers.
They don't have a clue how to use a typewriter.
Do you feel old yet? Pass this on to the other old fogies on your list.
Notice the larger type, that's for those of you who have trouble reading.
Save the earth. It's the only planet with chocolate.

I'm a yungun. Born in 1984. I turn 21 next month. It sounds old to people my age but it isn't at all.
