It's from "We are the Next Us", the poem-song Gord did at the Canadian Hall of Fame. I grinned as soon as I heard that lyric.

Also, I think Family Band and Yer Not the Ocean are now in my top 10 favorite Hip songs. :thumb: :mrgreen:

I immediately listened to The Drop-Off as this song intrigued me when heard at Fort York. It's a great song, and it's gonna kick "live" as it had me mesmerized at the Fort along with No threat, and of course 38 yrs old.
I don't think he could ever sing "threat" like he did that night again, was it the beers or was he bang on that night? anyone?

The Drop-Off is my Nautical Disaster, hooked instantly! Enjoy the album, enjoy the shows. The real reason I posted was because I needed to say I love Soylent's avatar, that is precious!

Geeeeezus!!! Is this the same band? It's f*ckin amazing!!! It's so.....different. Musically as well...

I'm only on Fly right now...but I messaged my brother and said if it wasn't for Gords voice, you wouldn't know it was the Hip. They've shrugged the bluesy signature. And even Gord is different....his range is insane.

Just brilliant. A much needed different direction. Just another reason they are and will remain my favorite band.
