Wow this site rocks....I don't know how I have managed to miss it before but I plan on coming here often now. I have been a hip fan for years now and usually have seen 1 to 2 shows a year. However since I moved south of the border I have not had the chance to see The Hip as much since they never seem to get close enough to me. That all changed this past October when they came to Asheville, NC and played the Orange Peel. I packed up the car and took my American wife out to show her how real music sounds and what real fans are like. We had an awesome time and it was good to be around so many transplants. The best part of the show though was being able to bring my camera in....something I have never been able to do at a Canadian show. Amway's thought I would share these with everyone and I may even enter one in the photo contest.....which ironically is how I found the site

Wow...if they where posted here it certainly wasn't by me. I know I did post a message some time ago on a Sam Roberts board and on a photo forum but definately not here. I can also assure you I took all those pictures myself.....I have the setlist and tickets for the show as proof .

This is a link of your photo of the setlist, and I'm wondering if anyone knows what the notations SUN and TOB mean next to some of the songs. It's the first time I've seen them.

Also, anybody know who writes the setlists, it's the same writing all the time.

I think Gord Sinclair writes them, I know he makes the setlists

I think that must be Langlois's setlist. "SUN" and "TOB" indicate which guitar he's supposed to play, the sunburst or the tobacco Les Paul.

I posted a message a while ago telling everyone to search pbase for your pics. I didn't post a link because I wasn't sure that was appropriate. I left a note in your gallery....I probably should have told you about hipbase.
Anyway, those are by far the best pics I've seen from a Hip show. Glad you found the forum. Let us know if you make it to another show and get more pictures.

Everyone, Thanks for all the compliments....it truly was a great show that night and being able to bring my camera in without question was probably the best part. Although during Grace Too Gord almost put the mic stand through my lens .
