As one of more outspoken NHL players about the lockout, I couldn't help but post this photo. Apparently it was taken at some party after a Motor City Mechanics game the other night - you know, that team that Chelios, Hatcher and Draper are playing for now - in the UHL.....a league with a salary cap. Other players featured in this party set are Hatcher, Draper, and Lidstrom (!), and everyone's favourite American "bad ass", Kid Rock.

For the record, Chelios is married and has three kids. Also, for the record, Chelios is a jackass.

Yeah, I guess if I was at a party and a couple of girls half my age sat on my lap and I had my hand on one of the girls' ass, my wife would have no problem with that while she's at home with the three kids. :roll:

Its not malicious, its the posting of a photo, which makes him out to be more than a little sleazy. Groping some girl in a photo is not a life or death matter, but then again, no one claimed it was. I'm sure his wife doesn't feel that its not a big deal. Pose the incident as a hypothetical to your girl, see what she thinks. My guess is that most women wouldn't be that dismissive.

I'm guessing that since your relations with the opposite sex generally involve the transfer of funds, you'd never really understand why one might consider the photo to be more than a little disturbing.

actually i've been going out with my fiancée for over 2 years now and there's been no transfer of funds...yeah, she'd be pissed if she saw a photo of me like that, i never disputed that, i'm just saying, this isn't a big deal to the rest of us, and isn't newsworthy. two of his fans are getting a photo taken with him, is it a big deal? no. will his wife be pissed? probably, but that's life, and women have a tendency to overreact and become insanely jealous in situations such as these...true or false? you tell me.

Rather than point out your cold and grotesque stereotyping of the female gender, I will take this opportunity to congratulate you on the upcoming nuptials. When did all this unfold? Why haven't we heard about the fair lady before today? Wherever did you order her...you know, just in case things don't work out for me and my partner, I have a back up plan.

I would be pissed if I saw a pic of that with my boyfriend and two chicks, however, it's about trust I think. If his wife trusts him, then there is no problem with that pic. On the other hand, he should be conducting himself like a married man. And thirdly, I still don't see the big deal. When I saw this thread I expected to hear about him having sex with someone other than his wife.
