God, I miss Canadian radio. Growing up near Buffalo/Niagara Falls, I could easly pick up Toronto radio and got to hear my fill of the Hip. The Buffalo stations play them, too.
Now I'm in Richmond. So it's a whole lot of poppy "new" rock. Great.
I miss going to the store and hearing a random Hip song (or any good song for that matter) on the radio.
That's why I put the iPod on shuffle - the element of surprise.

Another old "gem" I'm really getting back into is The Last of the Unplucked Gems. What a great song, especially live, I just wish it was longer. 2 minutes just doesn't do it justice. Thoughts?

Oh my gosh how does this always happen!? I just listened to this song and thought "wow, this song doesn't get the respect it deserves, I shoulda put this on the soft CD mix I made for a friend (she plays violin, too!)

There's a show on the Hip tracker from Rochester in 1995, I think, that goes for close to 6 minutes I think... mostly the guys doing a longer jam at the beginning and end... lyric part is about the same... but it sounds excellent. And yeah... Gems is a gem!
