Anyone listen to the director's commentary on this thing? It's easily the funniest stuff I've ever heard on a dvd. Because it's the "unrated" version, Will Ferrell and director Adam McKay decide that they should talk as dirty as they possibly can before the producers tell them they've crossed the line. Then for no reason whatsoever, Andy Richter and soul singer Lou Rawls (who aren't even in the movie) show up to hang out and chat about the film. It's totally ridiculous, but extremely funny.

I have it, but haven't listened with commentary yet. What a great movie! The DVD has some other hillarious stuff on it too. Love the ESPN audition and the MTV interview. Some deleted scenes are really funny and there are a ton of them. I wish they would have kept the one with Jack Black and Baxter, more conversation, and more laughs. It was a good buy for sure!

I wasn't to impressed with this movie! Not as good as i thought it was gonna be! Ohh well! Just my .02 cents

I also was not impressed.
I saw it at the drive-in and it was the first feature.
Dodgeball was next and was much funnier - that should tell you something.

It was good but not great. Coming on the heels of Old School which I loved I had high expectations and I didn't find it all that great.
I thought the characters were really funny but the dialogue lacked something. It just wasn't witty, it was kinda like verbal slapstick. But it definitely had its moments..like when Brick finds out a woman anchor is coming and he gets all shocked and goes "Whoa!! I heard their periods can attract BEARS!!!!" I lost it, that was great.

But doesn't the DVD of Anchorman have stuff not in the original release? I only saw the DVD version, but I remember reading somewhere of someone who saw both versions and said the DVD is 10 times better.
Yes the commentary is excellent... too bad they actually beeped some words out. I know you can pretty much tell what they say but it would be even funnier to actually hear them say it. Will Ferrell is one of the funniest actors around.
