After 4 months of fighting with Sasktel they finally gave me back my 170 bucks they stole from my account. So I am going to S'toon here in the next couple of days and it is all going towards some new disks. Figure I can get 10 for sure.
Anybody got any suggestions? Any new stuff that you really dig? Here's my last few purchases so you have some idea of what I'm into:
Arcade Fire - Funeral (awesome, awesome album)
Fiery Furnaces - Blueberry Boat

p.s. I forgot to mention how much Hip they played in Grand Forks. When I first walked into the arena Pigeon Camera was playing. Before warm-ups they played the entire Fully Completely album. I should have known we were going to win gold.

Scissor Sisters - Really fun disco/glam/funk throwback sort of band. Great lighthearted disc. Their cover of Comfortably Numb is equal parts amusing and catchy.

Drive by Truckers "dirty south"- one of the best of 04
Solarize- Ian Brown (ex stone roses) very catchy like Franz Ferinand (sp)/
are a couple that I picked up/received during the holidays that have not left the rotation yet

Some good choices above... may I also suggest a couple of somewhat different-sounding yet cool bands, Metric and Death From Above.
