It is a great CD. Probably my 3rd fave of the year behind IBE and A Ghost is Born (Wilco). If you look hard enough there are three unreleased tracks circulating as well. I'd say two of em could/should have made the album.

now that ive had time to digest it and really listen to it, i am really enjoying the album, its very good, better than cant leave behind...i think it is, definitely worth buying. :thumb:

to be honest with you, i've tried to like this cd...believe me i have..to me it sounds like U2 just going thru the motions...i'll keep trying though, but as of now it stands as the most overrated disc of the year(boy..am i gonna hear about this now..)

i`m having some trouble getting into it too....its listenable but its kind of failing to live up to the hype...i think too much hype raised my expectations a bit much

I bought it the day it came out and it's been frozen in my CD player ever since. I think I'm addicted. It's a fantastic record. Easily the best thing they've done since Achtung Baby.

i dunno, i haven't listened to it all yet, but i doubt that i'll like it better than POP, to me, that was a fantastic record. also, "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" is still my favourite song of theirs since Atchung.

Couldn't agree more. I've been a U2 fan almost as long as I've been a Hip fan and Achtung Baby is one of, if not their best album. Pop and Zooropa were both garbage IMO. Some fans I know have argued for Pop but I still didn't like it. Discotheque was awful. ATYCLB was very good. A vast improvement on the previous two. This album is a little bit more of that classic U2 sound, but with a new twist. I'm not quite sure how to describe it. It's different than Achtung Baby, but it's got a similar feel. For me, All Because of You and Crumbs From Your Table are stand-outs on the disc.

ATYCLB sucks, it's watered down U2. Pop was great because the band just said fuck it, we're gonna make the album that we want to make, rather than make the album that everyone else wanted them to make. Discotheque is a killer song, one of the Edge's best riffs ever, and it's just so wonderfully tweaked out and electric that i love it to pieces. Staring At The Sun was an incredible song as well, and rivals any of their best singles from the 90's. honestly, i didn't really like ATYCLB at all, i thought Electrical Storm was waaaaaaaaaaay better than any of the songs on that album.
