Before Gordie donned the wristband he used to sweat down his arm and it would trickle down to his hand and get all over the guitar. I think this is why the wristband, it looks cool and it prevents the sweaty guitar. I think..

I could have sworn Gord wore the same black shirt for both the Sydney and Halifax shows but I could be wrong. It looked like the black shirt from LBU. Maybe he has a bunch of them, I don't know.
I loved his green shirt. The white dress shirt he wore at the MMM I & I on Canada Day was classic too.

what about the tweed-jacket-that-lasted-for-half-the-concert look that he was cultivating late 90s/early 00s?
and what about the jingly fruits that used to make Don't Wake Daddy and Springtime so much fun to watch live.
He's like Madonna with the constant reinventions. Bring on the cone bras.

I miss the days when he'd come out in a full suit. They kicked ass. for about two songs.

I had the privelage of being front row center for a 2000 show in Wantaugh NY, at a sweaty little bar called Mulcahy's. Gord wore the whole suit thing, and man was he soaked!!!! In my pictures, he looks as though he's pissed himself...it's actually quite funny.....The sweatiest man in rock should NOT adorn himself with pinstriped suits for shows!!!
BTW....since we all know that Gordie sticks with a pretty limited wardrobe on tour, who's the pour sap whose gotta wash that stuff every night????

 I just got the wonderful mental image of Johnny with a big tin tub and a washboard, muttering and cursing Gord for sweating so damn much. Excellent, excellent.

thread revival starts here
I've revived this thread because I'm a big fan of "What Not To Wear" on TLC and I think we should email the crap out of them about Gord and his wardobe and maybe get him nominated to go on the show.
I mean yeah, we love Gord and how he looks on stage but there are times I've seen him in interviews and it's like WTF?!
I know they've had people from TO on the show before!!

I was just thinking the same thing, who cares what he wears? The man's a rock n' roller, the laws of fashion dont apply to him, like they do to us.
I like his stage garb, very cool stuff. The shirt and ties were my fave's, I remember the green "poets" shirt man he got some miles out of that one, Im thinking he must of had a dozen of them at the time. He should of auctioned them off after the tour, I'd of bought one! It also reminds me of billy corgan and that dam ZERO shirt and silver pants he wore for like 2 years straight, that was ugly stuff lol. Anybody like to nominate someone for the best dressed rocker of all times?? I loved Jimmy Page's silver/black jacket-bellbottom suit, it was cool and I think it had his Zoso logo on the leg, the stuff legends are made of. :thumb:

When I met him I asked him about the famous, or should I say Infamous Poets shirt, he had one and he had lost it. He LOVED that shirt.
Just one! Wow, Im surprised at that, but that's our Gord, the man plays by his own rules. Man I love rock and roll 8)
