Am I the only one who saw this CNN.com article about the "Go Canadian" package being offered by T-ShirtKing.com?

If you haven't read it or heard about it, check it out. I'm not leaving North America any time soon, but I think I'm gonna have to get one anyway. Talk about a stroke of marketing genius!

i heard about this on the radio on the way home today, laughed my ass off .

[mrlayance]

Sad...

They do ship to Canada, I guess thats a good thing.

I got pointed to this on another forum... Funny stuff... I´d never heard of it before, but apparently it´s pretty common...

[j-monster]

That's funny!

But how does someone from, say, Boston or Texas or Alabama get away with this with the kind of accents they have?

I don't find is as amusing as most of you, but I take it as a compliment on how every other country in the world respects us.

[senschic]

No i had about 15 friends email me that link yesterday. And I agree it is a very nice compliment. Finally.

Made front page of the Vancouver Sun today...

[Kim]

Read about this in the Dutch newspaper today too....

You should. People like bumping into Canadians. I lived in Amsterdam for a couple of years and there's bunches of tourists there. I've seen my fair share of annoying tourists but not once was there a Canadian amongst any of them. Ive never read about Canadians causing any problems here either.

That's because all those people were actually Americans pretending to be Canadians, and acting extra-polite.

All the Canadians you've met have actually been wearing big American flag sweatshirts, and being ultra-obnoxious. That's how Americans earned that "ugly American" stereotype -- Canadians taking a vacation from being polite and deferential.

Fronted the Ottawa Sun too.

I'll take the fifth....

Oh, wait a second ... I don't have that right....

Hey... I was just reading the Colby Cosh web blog where he talks about this... and you know what? He's right... they ARE spelling O Canada like it was an Irish surname... dumbasses! :rambo: Look closely at the original website again, and you'll see he's right!

Here's the link to his comments about this whole thing... he does have an interesting take on it. http://www.colbycosh.com/#mfos
