Hey gang-
Not sure if this falls under this specific discussion, but anyways.
Just reading here- http://www.canoe.ca/NewsStand/LondonFre ... 13644.html
Apparently downtown London is set to be quite packed the day of the show. Any Londonites have any advice to be offered to someone who is driving to the show from Guelph? Places to park? How much do you think the parade will affect getting to and from the show?
Any help is appreciated-

The parade shouldnt cause too much problems as far as the Hip show is concerned, it should be over long before the show starts, unless Im mistaken. I never bother with that parade crap. As for parking, there are lots and lots of parking lots downtown just pay for a whole day and leave your wheels there, depends how close you want to be, theres a parking lot across from the rink on King and Ridout st. Theres 2 parking lots on King and an underground lot on King under the Covent Garden Market right across from the rink. www.london.ca the city site has maps you can use if you need any directions. :thumb:

shit! I just checked and the parade is a night parade this year, it starts at 6pm, so you best not park downtown after all, the parade starts at Dundas and Ridout st. and heads East on Dundas. You would be better off parking away from downtown and walking or take a cab. It will be nutty down there for sure. :jump

Do those streets cross over with Wellington St?

Dundas crosses Wellington.
Dundas is the main drag east-west thru downtown, Richmond and Wellington are the two main north-south streets through downtown. The JLC is on the west edge of downtown.
There is not a lot of parking to the west of downtown, and there will be a lot of parade-goers parking in that area since the parade starts in the same part of town.
