i'm doin my show on sesame street today..gettin callers to tell me their fave character..unreal response..just goes to show how much this show means to us~

I have a few favorite characters from the show. I think my favorite was the guy who was kinda crazy, had the real zany laugh, and would sneak up on the poor bald sap and slap either a letter or number on his back and laugh like an idiot.
I was also a huge fan of Grover the waiter. In fact, I think it was the same bald sap who was always the brunt of Grover's por waitering skills.

Captain Vegetable, who as far as I know only made one appearance. He had a song:
"It is I, Captain Vegetable,

I've often said the first line on entering a room. But I find that people think I'm odd...

I remember that! "out of his secret garden somewhere in New Jersey..." Three cheers for me, Captain Vegetable! Crunch, Crunch, Crunch! I haven't thought of him in years! :lol: That certainly made my day.

Anybody remember Christmas Eve on Sesame Street? I probably heard the cassette tape and/or watched the show a couple hundred times as a kid... ah memories...

Are you kidding me? I *still* watch it. You can bet that the day after Thanksgiving I will haul out the VHS recorded from PBS however many years ago. It gets me everytime. *sniff*
