Baker's definitly an artist. His work's featured on the cover of IVL. Not sure about the others though.

Far as I know, Rob is, indeed, the artist of the group. As stated, he did the IVL cover, but it seems he's also the one in charge of finding the artists for all the other covers.

It looks more like a Cameron Tomsett design. Maybe the band worked on it together, inspired by Tomsett's art.

Read this quote from an article in Queen's University's The Journal published 09.10.04:

"Currently, in addition to the second video for The Hip, he is working on an art show in October just outside of Kingston as part of the Town and Country tour, and he’s also working on designing and painting a goalie mask on behalf of the Hip that will be on display in the Hockey Hall of Fame, before being auctioned off for a spinal research charity. The mask is another first for the young artist."

It's mis-represented in the auction, but I suppose any true fan would catch it.

I think the seller is taking alot of artistic licence because the band has autographed the mask. An honest mistake or is he truly that dense? haha

At least the reserve price has now been met. At $1000 US it still wasn't. Still almost 6 days left, this could get expensive!

Don Cherry's went for an increadible $16,010!
Nickleback and BNL masks went for a comparitively low $2160 and $1550 respectively.

That mask is so cool, I would have loved it. Way too expensive for me, but I can't believe that Nickelback fans outbid Hip fans. Surely the Hip demographic is more well-off than the Nickelback demographic. Certainly more intelligent. Maybe the problem is that we're too intelligent. From the posts on this board, it seems like almost everyone is still in school! Come on people, it's time to get out into the working world!
