Wow................. I read that his video was derived from the surrounding aura that has consumed most of the American media, and consumed a substantial portion of Canadian news, but I had no idea it was this profound. As much as I don't find the song that catchy (not much of an Eminem, or rap, fan), the video is incredible. I'm sure it'll inspire tens of thousands of citizens to register and vote, and if only because MTV is the primary source of politics for many. Eminem really paints (ex)-president Bush as a very dark and heartless creature. Kerry and the Democrats couldn't come across that harsh without the media backlash that ultimately back-bones and decides each candidates outcome. But as much as I wouldn't mind seeing Bush 'retired', and Kerry taking the stage (and I believe 65% of Canadians agree), it still bothers me that the American election will be ultimately based on pop-culture icons voicing their concern, most of which have been pro-Kerry, or at least anti-Bush. Hopefully people can out-do this hoop-la of Hollywood and MTV that is intrusively and involuntarily creating an illegitimate bias for either presedential nominee, and vote solely on the issues that affect them. As a Canadian, I say 'Go Kerry', and 'Eminem, Good Job'... but a bit sappy...

Hmmm...since when does this guy give a shit? Thats great pal, seeing as its so popular and all to bash on Bush, why not through in your 2 cents when its completely safe and useless to do so. If he actaully wanted to make an impacting, bold, brave, and worthwhile statement, dont you think the opportune time would have been a few months ago, not less than a week before the election...? Give me a break, he couldnt have picked a more irrelevant time...too late now buddy

agreed vicious..nothing this guy says is sincere...he's a joke...and the media eat it up, and play his videos non-stop....eminem is a fraud

Anyone catch Eminems performance on SNL last night? I have to say it was strangley compelling...it seemed to evoke powerful emotion to take action, in a strange and twisted, almost irrational kind of way.
Oh, and the vocals were definately double tracked...but that was definately not meant to be a secret...I guess this has become the 'new standard' in mainstream live performances :roll: . I just thought that was interesting.
I still say he's shown up too late though...
