Well i was bored the other day and looking through my dvd collection
i see one of my favorites Empire Records. Throw it in the player and enjoy
love the music the characters , I don't know if anyone else like this movie but it is fun to watch . also pcu and office space i could watch all day over and over .
A few years ago i had back surgery and was out of work for a year
i alternated the 3 diehard movies watching one at least every other day
its weird really i haven't watch one since

I havent seen day after tomorrow yet, it looks cool enough, im sure the story is predictable as snow in winter. I hate movies where I feel like Ive seen it before Ive seen it. The last movie I watched was Lord of the Rings Return of the King, which happens to be my favorite movie, although I consider the whole trilogy as one big movie, greatest movies EVER!! (Im gonna get it good now, bring it on) :rambo:

on a more serious note, I just watched Good Will Hunting today for the first time, my wife taped it for me. Im pretty much bed/couch ridden at the moment, I broke my ribs yesterday.......I thought it was a great movie, the emotions involved and seeing the young hoodlum(matt damon) come to terms with his special ability was rather moving. The chemistry between him and the Dr.(Robin Williams) was rather cool, first theyre fighting and they end up as good friends, Thumbs UP! :thumb:

GWH is definitely a great movie...it feels fresh and vital. And I feel for both Damon's and Williams' characters. Good call.

I was just discussing GWH with a buddy yesterday. He had not seen it and I told him it was definetly in my top 5. When Robin Williams is not trying to be funny he can be decent. I think Matt Damon has done some real good work. He can pull of almost any character.
I have been mostly disappoinnted in movies over the last couple of years. The last one that blew me away was the 2nd Matrix movie although the ghost army scene in LOTR was pretty wicked. The best rental over the last year was definetly Badder Santa. That movie almost killed me. The dialogue between Billy Bob and the fat kid is classic.
I think the preiview for the Grudge looks pretty good. The scene where that little boy turns around and makes that creepy noise had me sleeping with the lights on. I haven't slept with the lights on since I was 23. I just hope they didn't give away all the good stuff in the previews which happens way too often.

I agree about Good Will Hunting. It's in my top 10 for sure. Williams and Damon are especially great. Damon is a top notch talent in my books. I liked both Bourne movies, and loved Rounders. That boy has got serious talent.
I'm kind of ashamed to tell the last movie I saw. I went to my buddies house the other day and his girlfriend had a movie playing so I decided to watch it. It was "IF These Walls Could Talk: 2". Not that good but Sharon Stone and Michelle Williams give some nice visual scenes. haha

Saw Collateral recently. Awesome flick. Tom Cruise is actually believable as a bad guy, and a rather sadistic one at that. Jamie Foxx was very good as well. I've always been a big fan of Michael Mann's films. Manhunter, Heat, and The Insider are three of my favorite flicks and Collateral is yet another great addition to his resume.
I also saw Shaun of the Dead a couple of weeks ago and I laughed myself silly. What a great movie! 90 mintues of witty dialogue, funny British humor, and excessive gore and violence. Honestly, what more do you need?

One movie I have liked alot since the first time I saw it was Frequency with Dennis Quaid.

If you haven't seen it, get some friends together and watch it in the dark.
You'll notice TONS of similarities to today's media world, and it's all the more amazing when you realize Wells was 23 when he wrote, starred and directed it.
Plus, you'll have an instant appreciation for a certain episode of "The Simpsons."
