The Hip help me in court!!!!!
#1

I am a Trial Attorney and this week I am defending a man who allegedly caused an accident and allegedly caused injuries to another guy. Yesterday the other guy’s Doctor testified about the guys alleged injuries. While he was on the witness stand he stated that he was from Kingston. When it was my turn to question the doctor, I well, kind of pissed him off and he was giving me a real hard time. We took a break for ten minutes and i asked him if he was familiar with The Hip, being from Kingston, he of course was, and in fact his family knows them and he was also a fan. We talked for a while about the band and laughed. When he got back on the stand he stopped giving me a hard time and let's just say that the rest of my questioning went remarkably well.

I may have won my case, thanks in part to The Hip

And it's legal for you to share this information with us? Who's to say one of us is not the judge in this case?

He didn't name names or divulge pertinent information...he's a lawyer, I think he knows what can and cannot be mentioned! Smile

What a cool story, thanks for sharing!!

Is there any area of Canadian society in which the Hip cannot be used?

I was hoping you were gonna say something like this..."Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, must I remind you, an accident's sometimes the only way to worm our way back to bad decisions...and in closing your honor...if we teach our children some fashion sense, perhaps they'll fashion some of their own."

but way to go...like the person who got off on a speeding ticket because of the band...mmmm KARMA

Speaking of Don't Wake Daddy...I'm hoping they break this one out soon!
