(M@W) la la la-la la la......etcetera

I think the put up your tent is from the original lyrics from NYD 2000.
"We're forced to bed, but we're free to dream"

How 'bout "bring out your dead" in Poets ? I'm so used to hearing it, I sing that line when the CD version's playing now. I'm assuming it's a Python thang.

The best new verse ever was in Little Bones:
I can cry, beg and moan
T'every rebel I've known
Just to throw me a bone
I can use to dethrone...
And then of course my all time favourite is the recurring "Bring out your dead!" line thrown into several songs...Poets just doesn't sound the same without it anymore!
Although I have to say my very very favourite live thing isn't a change of lyrics, it's a change of singing style...on the 2003 and 2004 show bootlegs, Gord goes HIGH on Blow, Poets, Courage, etc. Those high pitched wails in Blow add so much to the song and after that the album version was worthless to me...on the SARS webcast, when he screams and roars "the further you're gonna gooooooooo, when you bloooow at high doooouuuugh!!", I always grin from ear to ear!

What about something on?
And the curtains pause for a second
and then those curtains shut right up
and I just stood on the lawn there
until the sun came up

Nautical - "some rusty rocket"
Ah yes, loved that at Darien Lakes!! He just bellows it too...I had to wonder for a minute if he did that totally on purpose or if he just slipped...
Curious minds want to know...
