Thugs (never seen it)
Greasy Jungle (the FTP one cuts out at 3:51, looking for full-length)
Chancellor (saw it on the FTP a long time ago but not recently)
Would love to finally see the Thugs video if anybody has it! Thanks!

Buddy....I've got the videos on the enhanced cd, I can mail them to you. and chancellor is on launch.com, that's all i've got for that one.

I saw that the cut-off version of Jungle on the FTP's title said "Collection 11 Greasy Jungle" so I thought somebody out there might have the entire collection on a CD or something.
Can you copy just the videos? If so I'd gladly b&p it or send a show your way...

It used to come on automatically when I turned my computer on...I don't even think about it! I have just turned it on and I'm checking the settings to see why it's not doing it anymore....sorry, I'm just not used to DIY turning it on!

I have the enhanced CD's, and you can watch the videos, but I can't find the actual video files on the discs.
A little help would be appreciated.

Also, something I forgot to ask...what happened to the 2nd video that was made for Gord's first solo album? I heard that Trick Rider had a video, or was going to, but I never heard tell of it after that brief mention...does the video exist? Does anybody have it, or has anybody seen it?

I think you might mean 11th Fret, Grooveless? I haven't heard of Trick Rider having a video but I read somewhere that they did one up for 11th Fret and then scrapped it or something... I could be wrong though... I haven't seen Thugs either....

Thugs is pretty cool...I have seen it before...once. I don't like the Greasy Jungle video, but I'd still like to have a copy that doesn't cut out with a minute to go.
No, it definitely wasn'tt 11th Fret. It was from Coke Machine Glow. I am 90% certain it was Trick Rider. I also think (though this is a little more foggy) that I saw a still pic from the video and it was a weird psychedelic artsy multicoloured frame...I can't quite remember though. Anybody else heard anything about it?

PS...For the record, I think Gord should have released Figment too! I would have loved to have that on the radio for the drive home...

I sent the Meridian FTP admin all of The Hip's music videos on a disc well over a year ago, and I jsut checked - they are all still there. Go into the "Videos" directory and then go into "Brian McCabe's TTH MPEG archive" and then "music videos volume 1" and/or "music videos volume 2" and you will find all of them, including Thugs. As far as I know, the version of Greasy Jungle that I provided to the Meridian site is a complete video.
As for the Hyper CDs....the discs have the album's music videos on them in mpeg format, but they can NOT be copied over to a hard drive, and the only way to play them is to have them in your CD-ROM drive while visiting the album's corresponding "mini-site" at thehip.com. One major problem with that though - - the mini-sites are not up anymore. Since the launch of the new IBE-themed site, the mini-sites are gone. So therefore, the hyper-CDs are completely useless now (except of course for the music itself).
The mini-sites were mismanaged from the beginning and never were actually completed. They were launched at the same time the Hyper-CDs were released in early 2000, and up until the time they were removed, the Fully Completely mini-site still said "coming soon - complete Fully tour dates." Never happened. The same sort of thing happened on the other album mini-sites too. I was very excited for the mini-sites to really take off, but they were live for 4 and a half years and they never were completed!

Wow, thanks Brian, I wasn't aware of that at all! I saw a CD with the Enhanced label on it not too long ago...apparently they're still selling the ones that are left over!
I'll check out the video compilations...appreciate the note and, of course, the effort that went into uploading them way back when.
