I'm curious, anyone knows of someone who named their child after one of the hip or like after a song like Cordeila or named their dog like Downie or something.

I named my 2nd Storm ( born in 1997, we believe she was concieved during a Storm because there was so dam many that fateful summer prior, and I also had a major awakening when TATH rolled out the summer before, the lightning on the end of the road played apart in her nameing.....

I named my 3rd Century(born 1999) becuase of the song and my last child of the Century that was.....

I named my 4th Mystique becuase of the Lyric'z" When the Mystique variez thus, you can send the man to bury us........And She'z the Last of My Unplucked Gemz........

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Um....I can't top Summit, but I gave my boyfriend stuffed bears named Gord and Cordelia. I made them at Build-A-Bear. It equates to giving birth...in the stuffed animal kingdom.

But honestly, Summit, those are beautiful names, and they have excellent stories behind them.

No kids, a cat named Chaos and a bag of cheetos.
But I do a wicked Gord in the shower.
I think it might be the small area and the tiles maybe...

Summiteer, those are awesome names! :thumb:

Oh! I made a bong this one time that was just beautiful and it knocked everybody on their asses and I named it "The Johnny Fay". Does that count? It was a really good bong I made out of the glass globe of an old oil lamp and it had a Cheez Whiz lid stuck in the bottom of it...

Back in '94 my mom got a Rottweiler and told me to pick out the name. I named her Cordelia, though everyone calls her Cody. Cody's still kicking around, which is pretty good for a Roti.

when my gf and I moved in she bought me a mini spruce tree for xmas and we decided to name it Gord. Again not like children (not even close!) but i'm thinking along the lines of build-a-bear (needs lots of love). Gord, the mini spruce, is still with us.
All for now,
Aaron

I had a cat named Cordelia back about 8 years ago...what a cute little critter. I also had a farrett (it belonged to my boyfriend at the time) and the beau named him Little Bones, but we just called him Bones for short.
