Kingston show!!!!!!!!
#1

From thehip.com:

Friday, August 06, 2004

We are pleased and excited to announce that The Tragically Hip will be headlining a day-long benefit concert on Sunday, September 12th, 2004 on the playing fields of The Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston, Ontario.

The as-yet-to-be-named event is being put on in conjunction with THE GREATER KINGSTON COMMUNITY FOUNDATION, a wonderful, "umbrella-type" organisation, that will administer the monies raised which will benefit the Joe Chithalen Musical Lending Library and Camp Trillium. More information on the specific charities involved and how you can be a part of it will be announced soon. The band is very happy to be organising this event which will greatly benefit these charities that they consider very near and dear to their hearts.

We are still in the planning stages of the event and will be confirming the show lineup and all other specifics over the next couple weeks. Please check back here for breaking news surrounding the event.

See you in Kingston!

We're coming home...

I don't think it will be impossible to get tickets, I'd imagine the grounds of the Royal Military College will be reasonably big... I'm sure it will be difficult to get tickets but nothing like the pre IBE club shows!

There is another big playing field area where they could stage the show, but I couldn't find any pics.

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Ohhh, the quandry you are in. I'd vote for The Hip...I mean, you can go see the Bills the following weekend, or whatever. Besides, it's just the Bills

I know that Paul Langlois' wive is VERY involved in those charities...I wonder if she spear-headed and bullied the boys into playing there?! It that's the case, kudos to her!!!! Smile
