I noticed that the show starts at 7:30 with no opener. I thought Joel Plaskett Emergency was opening but now on the website there is none listed. So, from my experiences working at this venue in the past, shows that start at 7:30 usually kick off at 8:00. But with doors at 6 (most likely), maybe they'll get it going sooner.
Here's what I wonder, I mean, every single show this season has gone until 11pm, since that is when the Noise Ordinance for the town of Darien goes into effect.
Will the Hip play from 8-11?? I really can't see it happening but wow would it be great. My guess is that they will try to find an opener come show time so the Hip can play 9-11 as they usually do here.
I will try to look into this, but just wondering what how you guys would read into the whole no opening act thing.
Maybe it will be another "Evening With" type thing one set, intermission, and then a second set, encore, encore... :jump
One can dream, right!

the weather better be nicer than we've had the last week. i envision sunny skies, low eighties, and the beer will flow like wine.
the hip hit the stage with vaccination scar and the reviews will start with "this was the best hip show i ever seen....................

I'm in a musical, Godspell... you might have heard about it, there was supposed to be an ad in the Sun. The LSCP group. Lots of fun.

I actually saw the Godspell advertisement on Route 5 there, it seems that the "Lake Shore" area gets a lot of good community involvement. Good luck with the performance and try to spread the good Hip music to some of your fellow classmates. I don't know if they'll buy it though, a lot of them are into the whole punk/emo or hip hop thing.
I think you should lobby for IBE to be played during intermission of Godspell, in light of your not being able to make Darien.

A little OT, but does DL have that Superman ride with the ridiculous hang time?
And you folks are going to LOVE this show. The boys are really tearing up the stage this tour, and I've never seen Gord so engaged, interactive and just plain happy on stage ever before... he's smiling and screamig at equal intervals.

It's not Cedar Point hangtime, but yes, Superman is the newest coaster there and it is the tallest one too...haven't been on it in like 5 years...this weekend I might hit the park.

It was closed during May while they investigate the guy who was killed on the Superman at six flags NE. It's open now though.
