"MoRe Me LeSs YoU"
Chokes me up every time...
It's not actually Hip though, it's Gord solo (which are more emotional anyway)

I'd have to go with Fiddler's green..for obvious reasons.

'...this is all nothing but cold calculation...it's been a pleasure doing business with you.' Heart-breaking.
But my runner up is the line in Emperor Penguin about devotion to the egg, and women swimming in from half an ocean away. What a great image of familial devotion.

"Trick Rider", "Into The Night" seem to be quite emotional. Again, Gord solo, not Hip. I guess "Wheat Kings" would be the one I would think of from the Hip's music.

There's too many. Almost all their music is very emotional for me.

I'm surprised nobody else has gone with Fiddler's..All of the above songs to have a huge amount of emotion to them though, I just chose Fiddler's because it was the first one to come to mind.

Escape is at Hand
"but you said anytime of the day was fine
you said anytime of the night was also fine"
"guess I'm too.......slow."
Plus, once you know it's about a dude who committed suicide...it makes it that much more powerful.

Hmmmmm good question?
I would have to say my top three would be
3) Long Time Running
2) Pigeon Camera
1) Wheat Kings
There are so many more to choose from. Gord really knows how to write some touching lyrics and the band really creates music that gives Gord a platform to let it all pour out.
That's what makes them such a freakin kick butt band!

Coconut Cream.
Just kidding.
I'd say Fiddler's Green too.
Or how about Another Midnight?
