The Next Hip Video From IBE
#1

Okay if the Hip come out with another video for IBE after Vaccination Scar, what does everybody think it will be? Or hope it will be?

I got a feeling it may be Gus (my vote) or maybe Goodnight Josephine...

Well, "Nashville" is already on some radio playlists, so I'd assume that's the next single. So I'll take Nashville to block...

I'm going with Nashville as well.

why is everyone voting MAKESHIFT ?

I skip that song on every listen! It doesn't have a chance at all ? Who's voting? Nashville would be great.... You're Everywhere would be cool but if Summer's Killing Us is the next single it's likely that will be it... which is a mistake I think..... Joe would work for sure too!

"Weaklings Make Trouble, you played on your guitar"

I love Makeshift!

Can't wait for the scream along this weekend! "WE ARRRRRRUUUUGHHHRRREEE!"

The screaming into the "loneliest buoys" line is one of my favourite parts of the record.

I'm hoping for Goodnight Josephine, but I'm guessing that it will probably be Nashville. Not that it really makes a difference...music channels in the states wouldn't be caught dead playing a hip video.

Very true. The only music channel who even knows who the Hip are is probably MuchUSA. I heard they carried the "Live in London" show when Phantom Power came out.

Speaking of American video channels, does anybody remember Carson Daly's comments after the Hip's Woodstock performance? If I can remember correctly, it was something along the lines of "good band, but what the hell is up with their singer? That guy is weird."

Well, my feeling on their next single kinda relates to a thread I just posted.

Since I'd be in a deadlock when it comes to Makeshift and Nashville, I'd have to go with Makeshift, simply because I'd hate to see The Hip bleeped out. I absolutely love You're Everywhere, but I think it has far more appeal to the die-hard Hip fan than the general public.

Concerning the Woodstock commentary by the music genius of our times (as the comment drips with sarcasm :rollSmile It serves as further proof that Carson Daly is a tool. I can just hear the way the little weasle would say it...not a hint of admiration, not weird in a good way, but weird in the way that means "unprocessed, and therefore, unaccpetable". *grumble*

I think Makeshift is great single material. Personally, I love the tune. But love it or hate it, you gotta admit the purpose for releasing a single is to generate album sales, and a tune like Makeshift is gonna appeal to the 'Road Apples' Hip lovers that helped to make their earlier albums huge sellers.

I think Heart of the Mealt would make a great single too as would You're Everywhere and even Gus...........but Makeshift would be my first choice.

Doesn't it SUCK?? :x :x Instead we get Toxic by Britney :rambo:

My vote for a video would also be Nashville, although I would love to see a Gus video.

Makeshift has all kinds of killer lines. I love "You're as quiet as a fish, I only sing for the whole sea".

Don't know why, but I love to belt that one out.
