I've heard a rumor that IBE will have new Hip Club cards like IVL, any info?

Guess we will find out on the 29th when we see it on the shelves.

I don't think the new cards will replace the old ones, I'm thinking about new hip fans or those who did buy IVL or got if off e-bay, or downloaded it.

I think this rumour is out there because of the message on the club page indicating that no new content will be added and to expect a redesigned page shortly. I dont see there being new cards in IBE, but I could be wrong.

But what about the Hip Club and hip.com anyway? I'm finding them to be SEVERELY lacking in information, especially with a new album/tour etc on the immediate horizon. Arent these internet tools supposed to be used to easily disiminate info at these peak times?

Thank gord for the HipBase! Wink

You're so right about the lack of info and content at Hip.com, its almost as if they have the site just to have a site. All my hip updates and news really only comes from this site.

Whatever the case may be with the site, if they were to put up even one unreleased song from the IBE sessions, the lack of updates would no longer matter to me!

I don't think the hip will ever truly be an informative band. . they hide from the direct spotlight..and that's where they like it.

I disagree. The Hip were and informative band when it came to the web. Around the time of PP and M@W they were considered trailblazers and pioneers for bands using the internet to their advantage. They seem to have been left behind the last two years or so.

As for new Hip Club cards, I thought the band said before IVL coming out that The Hip Club was something they planned on offering for new releases in the future.
