For The Hip, YES...well worth the money. For the Goo's, ugh, noooooo...

Kari,

As you are aware, the Goo Goo Dolls will be performing a large, free-to-the-public show in Niagara Square on July 4th, as part of a weekend long event - Uncle Sam's Jam. The event is expected to attract tens of thousands of fans to Niagara Square on Sunday, July 4th.

However, our good friends at Buffalo Place have a once in a lifetime opportunity for you; an intimate concert performance by Buffalo's favorite sons, the Goo Goo Dolls. On Wednesday, June 30th, the Goo Goo Dolls will host an intimate, private show at the Buffalo Convention Center. The evening will include an autograph and photograph session and a "meet and greet" reception with the band, as well as refreshments. Here’s the catch, only 1,000 tickets are available for this performance and tickets are available for purchase by invitation only. Consider this your invitation. Tickets are $100 each and include the performance, a meet and greet reception and autograph/photograph session. There is no limit to the number of tickets you may request, however, tickets will be sold on a first-come-first served basis and once the allotment has been sold, additional tickets will not be made available.

I heard that not many tickets are left, so you need to jump on this quick.

I got the same invitation...I am thinking about it, but 100$ is a lot. The Goo are a great band to see live. I just don't know if I can afford that. If I can find another person interested in going, maybe. I know it would be worth it afterwords, its just trying to justify spending 100 bucks before the show that gets me. Especially when you can see them for free on the 4th. I'll ponder this one.

Oh yeah, if I don't spend the 100 bucks, thats at least 2 more Hip shows I could go to this tour.

Ya know what, I think I'll pass on the Goo. I have a few CD's that will do me just fine: Superstar Carwash and A Boy Named Goo.

Yeah, that is definitely the way I look at it! I'm saving the pennies for a southern Hip adventure...

I hate to say it but I never really liked the Goos...I just could never get into their music...(it all sounds the same to me.) I think it is awesome that someone from the Buffalo area made it that big though.

But as Kari said....I would definitely pay the $100 for the Hip. :thumb:
