Yes it is. They play almost every night of the week around here. To think they play predominantly Hip tunes and still draw a great crowd. I guess some things never do get old!

They do also play some Lowest of the Low, REM, Pearl Jam, Doors, Weezer, etc... to change it up.

They usually do some kind of pre/post party whenever the Hip are nearby so I am guessing they will set something up for concertgoers to Darien. for all you toronto folks.... Jer Hoyle Band will be playing with Toronto's own Alun Piggins on July 3rd (venue TBA). Alun has opened for the lowest of the low on several occasions and this is his first time playing buffalo. Should be a great time.

How late do they play? I have to teach night class until 9. If they play later I very well might swing by. I know when they say they're playing at 6, that sometimes means 7 or 7:30...do the bar a little extra service. Anybody know for sure?

Do Strictly Hip ever swing southward? I'd like to see 'em, but its a hike to Buffalo...any cover bands in the CNY area that anyone knows of?

I went to see them. They went on at about 6:30. $2 Blue and Blue Light draft and Select cans, also wine. 5-6PM, $3 after 6:00. I stayed until about 8:30 and they were still playing. No cover! Lots of prize giveaways including tickets to the Hip at Darien Lake. They'll be playing at Pearl Street after every Thursday in the Square.
