Consider my thumb out and officially looking for a ride. I've got a free place to crash 25 minutes from the amphitheatre in lovely Georgetown, Ontario. Two bathrooms and everything! I REALLY want to go to this show!

Stephen.... You must know a really good shortcut to make it from Georgetown to The Amphitheatre in 25 minutes! It takes me almost an hour, and don't get me started on traffic.

But either way, I'll gladly drink a beer with you at the show. Smile

You better believe it! It starts with Dixie Road and ends with me doing 160 until I hit the Gardner. Smile

An hour? Really? I guess traffic can be troublesome at the wrong times, but on a holiday, a few hours before the show, I can easily make downtown in a half-hour. We're not THAT backwoods ya know? You can see the CN tower from the roof of my parents house! Smile

I always forget about the time portal on Dixie Road that requires you to hit 160km/h (much like the Delorian, 88mph, Marty McFly).

Damn, if only I still lived in Ottawa. Here's hoping for a western tour sometime this summer so I can follow the band down the California coast. Road trip, anyone??

Any bets on how many times Bookie will mention Aunt Lucy's then if he's talking to Sinclair? (Or anyone from Kingston for that matter)

Cheers

I wonder if they'll have seats up close for the pre-sale, ie. the pit up front or in the first block of seats? I know sometimes they save some for the day they actually go on sale and then to release some in VERY small amounts at random times leading up to the show.

Let's post em and see how everybody did (don't have to be seat specific..I'm not trying to stalk anybody, HaHa), maybe that will also fuel the pre show gathering if one does go down.

Listening to The Edge, I swear I just heard them mention a possible August 9th return to Toronto for The Hip. Whoever they were just talking to about summer entertainment in T.O. mentioned it.

Do you mean when he was talking to the NOW Magazine guy? If so then he was talking about The Cure... he said they are rumoured to be playing the Amphitheatre on August 9th.
