..for me would have to be Courage..never quite "got it" i guess...although, it's much more fun live than it is on FC....if for nothing else than to see everybody go crazy!!

I Love Courage, especially the Mclennan break. It's the song that made me a fan 12 years ago.
I don't know if any of the bands songs are over rated, some just get over played at live gigs.

..for me courage was just always the song played off FC when the album came with my circle of friends...i was so much more into the other tracks on the disc....i don't HATE it by any means...i just don't understand why it's so popular...maybe overrated is too strong of a word...

For me it would be ABAC. I love the tune, but I honestly get so sick of it hearing it at every show and every bar. NOIS is also overplayed, but I have a greater tolerance for it due to the classic rants that Gord has introduced throughout the years.
ABAC is one that hooked a lot of people onto the Hip, but there was a time where I just hit skip on the cd and went past it. Now I am able to atleast tolerate it once again.

Boy, I must be out of the loop. I think ABAC, with it's gorgeous lyrics and slow build, is one of my favourite songs, period.
I just feel better every time I hear it.

Music at work. Blatant pop song that begged for radio play. The riffs the LALALALA (blah, blah, blah). Disappointing song for the Hips least great album.

Courage is one of my faves.
Most overrated has to be NOIS. I like how they played it last tour in the first five songs in the night, get it over with early.

I never get sick of hearing anything really, I don't know why, even new orleans I'll still get excited about hearing on the radio.

I love hearing all hip songs as well. That said, I think the most 'overrated' hip song has to be Music@Work. I like the song, but for all the hype... I dunno.

most over-rated... i would have to say either Giftshop or Springtime Vienna. Maybe i missed the boat on those 2 but they just don't do it for me.

Hmmm...I kind of agree with you about Springtime in Vienna...but I *love* Giftshop. I think the lyrics are just excellent. It may help that it was one of the first hip tunes I was ever exposed to, other than what I could scrape up off of Napster.

My two cents...it would have to be "Music At Work". It's a good song, but almost too mainstream and poppish for me.
