That said, I do want to say that I am appalled and disgusted by a local radio personality who verbally attacked Domi and his wife. Jokes are jokes and fun is fun, but that was not only unfunny but in very bad taste as well.
haha no one in Toronto was outraged over that banner, no one even noticed till they put it on the news, hence no one actually cared. So i don't know who said they were outraged but that 1 person they found needs to find a life in a bad way...It was really only the Toronto Sun that was outraged, which is fitting since it was the Ottawa Sun who flew the banner, and does anyone really care about what any of the sun papers have to say about anything....
As for the Domi thing...its one thing to knock a player for his on ice play, its a whole other matter to imply someone beats on their spouce, that is low....So i completely agree with you there.
Anyways, its been a great series so far, i still hope the leafs win, but man do they look bad....good thing for Eddie and his 2 shut outs

Like i said anything with a Sun in the title and involving a newspaper people disregard as garbage....its best not to listen to what they right...no one was really outraged...actually i dont think anyone really noticed untill the nightly news since everyone was at work...it was comical but the problem was they didn't get a reaction out of 99% of the people in the city. seemed like a big waste of effort to me. :lol:

Personally I cheer for all 6 Canadian teams. I love them all!
On another note, I was watching the Toronto/Senators game last night. After the game, Ron McLean and Don Cherry were talking, and Ron McLean read the back of a hockey card. He said the backs of hockey cards were pretty cool and mentioned that the Hip based a song on the back of the Barilko card. Of course we knew this, but I just thought it was cool that he mentioned the Hip. I wonder if Ron is a fan himself??

He's a BIG fan. His interview with Gord during the Olympics was LOADED with Hip references and lyric mentions taht only a true fan would know. The way he speaks about the band, especially during the last "debut"of VS, says Ron is certainly one of us.

Ron was at the Hummingbird Centre shows in Toronto a couple of years back. I got to talk to him for a few minutes and he said he'd been a fan for a long time, and never missed an opportunity to see the guys.

Speaking of news broadcasters who like the Hip, I think Peter Mansbridge likes them too. He got to introduce them on stage at the Sept. 11th Benefit Concert and he said it was one of the highlights of his career!
