Bring on the powder. Looks great for this early in the season. Can't wait. :thumb:

Bah snow..bah winter. :|

Winter would be okay if it didn't snow on the roads.

Can't quite make out your avatar. Looks like 3 holes with a stick on a white background. My best guess is that it's a skier (you?) with a lot of snow being kicked up as you plow through it?

Haha, ya I wouldn't be a big fan of winter and snow if I didn't love skiing in it so much.

You're right about the avtar being a skier, although it's not of me unfortunately. That's the kind of skiing I dream about. Too bad I don't get to ski in that kind of powder all the time. Once every couple years maybe. I'm hoping this year there's a ton of snow in store for the mountains. We're due for a good year around here. Big Grin

I just changed my avtar. This picture is from the same place as the other one in Fernie, BC, but this one's of me. It's from last years New Years trip. A friend of mine works at the Calgary Sun and used this picture in an article here: http://www.calgarysun.com/cgi-bin/nivea ... 2.html&a=1

Funny thing is that there were no moguls out there at all that day. It was all powder skiing, but he needed to write an article on mogul skiing so...

I hate the snow and the cold myself. I am a total summer person. I swear someday, and it is a goal to make my home in Hawaii.
That's a really cure picture though. I love the beer bottles!

Don't get me wrong, I love the summer too. But living in Calgary so close to these mountains makes for a great playground in the winter. I've been skiing since I was 2 or 3 and can't imagine a winter without skiing. I'm an all season kinda guy I guess.

I do however love escaping this cold place during the winter to say the Carribean or somewhere like that. Not in the budget this year though with a wedding, so I'll have to make the best of the winter around here. Looking like it's going to be a good one. :thumb:

I think best place to have the best of both worlds is Nepal, live in the lowlands and trek up to the mountains :thumb: heard some of the best vistas and places to ski are there.
