Looks like you were waiting to see what everyone else thought then jumped right on that bandwagon!!! Tongue

This is definitely classic Hip in the sense that the more you listen the better it gets. Man is it catchy! I wasn't expecting this today. What a treat!

Leave it to the Hip to surprise you. What a new sound, just great. Thanks so much MAv.

PS. Happy b-day TLB(but I think the album will make the year)

I thought that myself. I keep getting to Dire Wolf in the playlist and can't get off of it!

I do like the song, but I'm not sure about one of the keyboard "sounds" the actual melody played on the keyboard I like, and the "killers" sounding keyboard is fine too, but I'm just not sure about the poppy 80's sounding keyboard, makes me think of the Culture Club, and I was never a fan of CC.

I'm not buying the Bob Rock angle on any of it. No one knows how many tracks he produced... and the band have recorded/produced tracks on their own in the past. So all of the comments about Bob Rock doing this or that to a song are useless until we hear from The Hip where he had a hand....

I dont look at the name of the song when I listen to the sotd so i put this one on like any other day and heard the drum line thinking this is good quality for a live song and then the keyboard kicked in and i thought did I leave windows media player on or something? and then the lyrics as I checked the title, In View! I couldnt believe it. It sounds different from any other Hip song but I still think the song is awesome. and I know a lot of you have been saying that Bob Rock wattered it down but I still think it sounds pretty good.

Thanks MAv

The drum intro is cool enough…. but then pop goes the world container…the ending rant is redeeming however…. perhaps when the phone rings on a fourth listen it will all merge into one - as others are finding?

You can't expect them to churn out the same sounding albums every two years -- I'm glad they changed it up.

Two thumbs up from me.
