The Life of David Gale
#1

Just reading some of your movie posts and thought i should post up one of my own.

I saw the Life of David Gale in the theatre and have not been able to stop thinking about it until today when i rented it as it came out on DVD today. I had read some, let say, unfavourable opinions about the movie. Just wondering if anyone had an opinion?? and if you havent seen it or are thinking about renting a movie and dont know what to choose, i hope you will be pleasently suprisied

Actually, I enjoyed this movie. It was a bit twisted in a way, with a wierd ending....but for the most part, I liked it. Wow, talk about extremists, willing to push for something that they believe in so much. CRAZY!
Anyway, it is definitely worth the rental.

I haven't seen it yet but it's been on my list for a while. Read a bit about it and it looked good plus it has a good cast: Kevin Spacey, Kate Winslet..

Yep I'll be sure to check it out sometime soon...

any film starring Kevin Spacey is worth the viewing. His presence alone is worth at least one star on a review. If I remember correctly (from what i read - I haven't seen it myself), the movie had a fairly strong anti-capital punishment message in it. I'm sure this has alot to do with the divisive opinions. It seems that folks either love it or hate it.

25th Hour with Edward Norton is quite a good flick...if you're feeling sorry for yourself, it really puts things in perspective. Check it out :thumb:
