I had Winmx open the other night and a guy was downloading Hip mpegs off me . We got to talking and then he apoligized for his English (which wasn't bad) , so I asked him where he was from and he said Brazil . So he asked me where I was from , and I said Canada . His response was " Sure..." I was like " Sure? What do you mean ?" So he says " That's where the Tragically Hip are from !!! " I couldn't believe it , it was hilarious . So I asked him where he heard about the Hip . He said he was looking for Bob Dylan - Seven Days and found the Hip version . He liked it and started downloading more Hip songs and the boots . He says he's got their CD's now and the Hetkensetkel Video . I guess mp3's have their place , without file shareing there would be one less Hip fan in Brazil , i'll see if I can convert him into a Hipbase member .To my friend Neto in Brazil . :thumb:

That is awesome, Canuck!! I love turning people onto the Hip...and you're right , if it weren't for file sharing, he would have never know about them!! Awesome!! Yeah, see if he would like to join Hipbase...it is so cool to converse with people from all over. :wink: :thumb:

Yeah that's totally cool , I know he said he bought Trouble at The Henhouse on sale 5 yrs after it came out , but I don't know if he got Hetkenstkel at Maple Music or where . It was great he started recommending boots to me , a true Hip fan .

For sure , I'm still blown away anyone has heard them down there , I figured an ex pat Canadian turned him on to them(obviously wrong) , I have his email so i'll get him hooked on the "base" , hopefully . :thumb:
