Bootlegs avaliable
#1

$10 canadian at maplemusic.

Only avaliable in mp3 format. I would pay $10 for SHNs.

I am not sure this is the best way to do it. If anyone has heard of Phish before check out there "Dry Goods". Amazing setup.

I think the hip should of done this years ago
id pay 10 dollars for a hip show (good quality of course)
BUT Sad
i think its kind of pricey and i think it goes against what gord stands for, at least the hip. I guess the Country of miracles has different thoughts about free concerts because u know the hip supports bootlegs and i dont think they feel its necessary to charge for something twice!!!!

I dont think i will be giving my $10

they would be taped from the soundboard, so in the respect they would be good. on the other hand, they are mp3 which are shit.

i tried sending this to henhouse & the hip newsgroup.......

Well Gords Bootlegs are availabile now for 10.00 (CAN) each.
just want to pass on a few tips!
first thing, they are A+ quality. And second is, when u are ask to download, download the files where/when it tells you too. I messed up, and am not able to download a few tracks from the Lee's Palace show. (waiting for an e-mail from maplemusic to fix it)

Chalk me up as another frustrated downloader...

After reading the reviews (both here and on the Henhouse), I figured I'd commit $10 to the cause for the Lee's show...

Got the email with my link to the downloads and when I clicked it I received the same message as Summiteer with "not authorized to download"...nice.

You'd think they'd have all the bugs worked out of the system BEFORE it went live...sigh...

My first thought was that there were some problems with the files they originally posted, so they pulled everything down temporarily to fix them...

Anyway, I sent an email to Maplemusic outlining the problem...If anyone else is in the same boat, check back here...I'll post any responses I receive...

Hopefully, this isn't a harbinger of things to come...

I wish Gord/The Hip would just do the same thing Pearl Jam does.

For $12.98 US for fan club members you get the MP3's to the show the day after the concert and then you get the bootleg about two or three weeks later. It's a double or triple CD in some cases.

I've often wondered why the band/GD didn't get into the "professional bootleg" business long before now (a la Pearl Jam, Phish, etc).

All you have to do is look at the sheer number of boots that exist in cyberspace, and then consider the single-digit percentage of them that are actually easy on the ears and you realize the huge profit potential of making quality versions of concerts available.

Maybe they're using Gord's tour as a measuring stick to test the system before implementing it for the next full band tour? If that was the case, I have much less of a problem being a "guinea pig" as they work the kinks out...
